Dylan's solo begins by focusing on just two pitches, C and D, both of which are played on hole 4: C with a blow, D with a draw. Dylan thus does not need to move his mouth to go from one to the other—but he doe at first, whipping away and back as switches from D to C. The effect is like a catch in the voice, a gulp, a sob.
