Late style mannerisms occasionally creep into performances in this era, such as the curious ascending major scale Dylan hits on here (listen at "hands were a-blazin'," "nobody listenin'," and so on). This neatly inverts the Guthrie-inspired descending figures from the studio recording, but the result is incongruously perky.
